Little Museums – the intellect wants its share
Two little jewels, cultural expressions of our territory: the Museum of the school in Rango and the ethnographic exhibition “Par Ieri” (It seems yesterday) in Stenico. Knowledge, history and traditions of the past inhabitants of the valley are safeguarded in these little museums, great evidence of the old times.
At the Museum of the School in Rango, an elderly man will greet you. Tommaso Iori will guide you through this little but precious museum, where you can see old furniture, didactic boards, books, report cards, notebooks, documents, pens and nibs…and many more objects which testify the life of the students in the past. You will remember the visit to this museum in part thanks to the experiments, through which Tomasso will explain you the basic principles of physics, science and history.
At the foot of the imposing Stenico Castle, you will find a little ethnographic exhibition called “Par ieri”, which means, “it seems yesterday”. Marco or another member of the association will always be at your disposal to guide you through the different rooms, where you can discover peasant tools, old customs and traditions and listen to some curious anecdotes, experienced at first hand by men who lived during the first decades of the XX century, a tough time.
