THE TALE OF A SUNSET HIKE
The weekend has begun; let’s get away from the usual routine and off we go to experience the Prada countryside in the Parco Naturale Adamello Brenta in Trentino.
With our backpacks, hiking shoes and picnic dinner, we are ready to go.
We meet in the Piazza di San Lorenzo in Banale, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, at the foot of the Brenta Dolomites; here, we leave the car and travel by taxi jeep up to Pian di Froschera.
Here we are in the Parco Naturale Adamello Brenta, a place of outstanding natural beauty. This is where we start our walk that takes us to our end destination, Prada. We are accompanied by a local guide and the light of the sunset.
Walking and chatting, we learn to respect the surrounding environment; our guide explains the most characteristic features of the area, from the attentive animal guardians to the flowers and plants, delicate elements of a precious whole.
We have arrived! Around us are gentle grassland slopes still used today for the mountain grazing of livestock, peaks and ridges where we can see chamois skipping and, a little further up, at Doss Madec, the sun falls into Lake Molveno.
How wonderful: the views, the feeling of being in touch with nature, a simple picnic dinner and the company... it’s as if we have been friends forever.
What happens next? …. why don’t you tell us?!
This exclusive experience can be enjoyed every Friday from 14 June to 13 September - Time: June and July 6 pm, August and September 5.30 pm, from Piazza San Lorenzo in Banale.
In addition to this initiative, there are many other opportunities to get to know the park in the summer: hiking, day trips through traditional ‘malga’ (mountain pastures), crossings at low and high altitude.
